Block Party: Mind Expanding Fun!

Hey guys,

Phew! It was a busy weekend. Friday I made a trip to the salon after work and learned about sulfate-free products from a hairdresser at Shag in Boston. Convinced myself to buy Living Proof Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. So expensive, but lord the smell is divine! Then I went to dinner with a couple of friends. Saturday included a long in-town walk with Willie and Josh, cleaning the house, and shopping at Market Basket for the first time. I think I’m a Market Basket convert now. Sunday featured another, longer walk, a visit from Josh’s dad, a trip to Cambridge for my second job, cooking beets (!! YUM), and watching Game of Thrones. When will Khaleesi do something other than give out free stuff, exact “justice” and have people yell what sounds like “Pizzaaaa, piiiiizzaaaaa!” at her? 😛

But – the real reason I’m writing this post is to tell you about a friend’s start-up! It’s a game called Block Party.

Block Party - the game
I played Block Party this weekend!

The colors are fun, the game takes a little bit of figuring out, but I love that! It actually ties in perfectly with a post I wrote a while ago about how to improve memory, boost learning, and train your brain. Basically, playing games that challenge you is not just fun, but is also good for your brain!

If you’d like to become an important part of Block Party, you can donate even a modest amount to their start-up here: Block Party – Mind Expanding Fun! On the right of that page, you’ll see that depending on how much you donate, you will receive a version of the game in the mail! So it’s more like buying the game itself than it is just giving a donation.

Just think – you support Block Party, get a version of it in the mail, and are one of the first people ever to play it. Years from now, when it’s super popular, you’ll have a great story to tell 🙂

Yours,

Aruna
